Panenky Voodoo Doo is a site-specific installation created for the storefront window of a hair salon in Brno. The work combines found objects, inherited materials, and personal relics, forming a poetic and fragmented inventory. Written as a rap-like list and displayed directly on the glass, the text itself became part of the installation — an incantation, a memory map, and a quiet spell.
Original text (EN)
Voodoo Doo dolls.
Porcelain firing tools.
Glass beads split with my sister for Christmas.
One earring from Jana, one from India.
Rusty cookie molds, family heirlooms.
Flax from my great-grandfather — at least a hundred years old.
A bracelet I gave my mom. She never wore it.
Sharpening stones from Texas.
Latex samples — that brief fascination.
Horsehair pads from a DNB shirt. Too itchy. Looked good though.
Beauty shouldn’t hurt.
The red doll. Nail polish I never wear. Nails.
A torn gold chain.
A tiny key.
Brushes and a porcelain hand from Jingdezhen.
The archive holds everything.
Everything remembers.
